Virgin TV anywhere app

You know the score with me
I got a large Value statement from VM this week and on the reverse it says I can download the Virgin TV anywhere app.
So I downloaded it, but I must be doing something wrong.

I press the App and then a list of TV progs shows.
I press the prog and Watch Now
Up comes a dual box with Watch Now or Watch TV which is in white

If I press watch now, nothing
If I press Watch on TV a message appears about being connected to my Tivo.

I have tried doing this, all in home with strong wifi etc
Any Help appreciated TIA

Re: Virgin TV anywhere app

Are you using wifi or mobile data?
Are you trying to stream a channel with the wifi symbol?

If mobile data or no wifi symbol then it won't work.
If wifi and wifi symbol, it should work.

Re: Virgin TV anywhere app

Thanks guys, my PC is connected to my Superhub upstairs with Ethernet.
My TV is connected to Tivo downstairs, not sure how.

Onm y mobile in home I have the full Wifi signal and my wifi hotspot shows brilliant signal, it is no big problem that I cannot access it for the time being, because I doubt that I would use it much anyway.
Maybe when i am in a wifi pub someone will show me what to do, I come from push Button A or B era.

Re: Virgin TV anywhere app

Do you have an Ethernet lead going from the hub to the back of the TiVo box, without it you can not connect the app to the TiVo box.

Kymmy
Super hub upstairs, Tivo downstairs, I guess that is why I am unable to access TV anywhere.

Re: Virgin TV anywhere app

You can still use TV Anywhere to stream live TV channels and manage your recordings without your TiVo box being connected to your home network.

However to directly control your TiVo i.e to use the app as a remote control you do need to have your TiVo box connected to your home network

Whether you do or don't, you can't watch recording that are on TiVo via the app.
