Re: Networking Help

Why not go for a fixed address rather than DHCP, far easier and it will always stay the same

Re: Networking Help

Assuming you have a superhub

on the Tivo

Help & Settings
Settings
Network
Change Network Settings
Let me specify a static IP address
OK
enter the address on your home network i.e. 192.168.0.60
subnet mask is 255.255.255.0

On the main Network connection page which you will return to you should see

Cable Modem connection details 10.x.x.x
Ethernet connection details (same as the address you set above)

Re: Networking Help

And I don't need to do anything to the superhub connection pages?

---------- Post added at 20:51 ---------- Previous post was at 20:45 ----------

Just tried and it says there is a problem with the connection and that the IP address is already in use.

Re: Networking Help

On the TIVO find out its MAC address

Settings, Network, look for the Ethernet connection details, there you will see your MAC address

On the Superhub

LANIP

Under DHCP Reservation Lease Info

Enter the MAC address of the TIVO and the IP address you assigned before to reserve the address
