ITV Box office showing Live events

What is this absolute cack? Utterly mortified at being asked to pay £13 to see Chris Eubank fight a bum. They can bugger right off with this game. Ran off and signed with ITV because Sky wouldn't PPV this fight and rightly so too. It shouldn't be anywhere near PPV. I was expecting it on Sky sports 1 but it appears Eubank and co spat their dummy out because they wouldnt PPV it.

A great chance to get top level boxing back on FTA is ruined by plain greed by both Eubank jr and ITV.

God knows what ITV have planned for this channel in the future but hopefully it goes the same way as ITV digital. As for Eubank, just wait till Golovkin buries this gob*****.

Re: ITV Box office showing Live events

Boxing is now a minority sport not seen by many because of the greed of putting the big fights on PPV so they reap what they sow IMO as l never intend to pay extra for boxing because its not worth it even though l have loved the sport since the days of Hearns , Leonard and Hagler.

Re: ITV Box office showing Live events

I still pay when I feel it's worth it. A Eubank fight on PPV though, not even Sky wanted to touch that and offered the usual SS1 slot. ITV and Eubank are greedy little sods and I hope this massively back fires.

You know what though, if you want money in boxing...fight someone that is actually good. Not happening though, Canelo or Golovkin would bury his money making career and limit him to hometown fights against bartenders. That obviously didn't phase him because he's managed to get himself a bum fight on PPV. Madness.

Basically he wants to avoid anyone good and still get paid well for it... Golovkin would've got him on Sky box office, Canelo would have too. Golovkin would travel to the UK and Canelo would be a Vegas fight. For all the talk Eubank and his camp have they seem really disinterested in actually fighting anyobe notable.

Re: ITV Box office showing Live events

They're back with this crap. £20 quid for a lad that'd generally be on Sky Sports 1.

He'll fight Arthur Abraham on ITV box office.

Seriously. Give the undercard away for free and sell the main event for a fiver. UFC have done well on that front by doing FTA events every other week dubbed 'Fight Night' note that UFC PPV's were bought outright by BT anyway for UK airtime. But they also stream the UFC undercard for free and keep the five main fights behind a paywall in the US. Obviously there's still a bit to groan about at the cost but UFC stack their cards with elite fighters.

What you have here is ITV asking you to throw your money at them for a pretty below par undercard and a mediocre main event. Granted it's probably the biggest test of Eubanks career but he's already lost to worse.

Sky used to do this with a young Amir Khan at lightweight. His streak and knockout days, the build up of his career. They sharp stopped when people got annoyed at paying £16 quid to see Khan school a bum.

Yep 20 quid for that is a absolute rip off.
