I have been using a great Linux distro named Semplice.
The download is a live CD using the Debian SID (unstable) repo's and as such is cutting edge.
Semplice is a rolling release, meaning that it is continually updated without the need to install later versions, it is a lean and fast distro using OpenBox as the Window Manager. It has LVM and encrypted LVM support together with support for UEFI BIOS as installed on the latest motherboards.
Semplice is built by some guys in Italy and is by far the best distro using the SID repositories I have tried. The SID repositories currently have over 44,000 packages available for download, one of the reasons Debian is so popular.
The installer is very simple but it has issues with the formatting of the Boot Disk, the solution is to choose automatic partitioning for the boot drive during installation, this may only be an issue if you have the latest UEFI BIOS so you could try a manual partition otherwise, it installs very fast so if you have to retry and use automatic partitioning it's no big deal.
It is advised that you choose to update the Installer during the installation process so this is obviously a work in progress.
The OpenBox WM Menu system is a hidden floating Menu, hold down the Right Mouse Button to make the menu appear, the menu will appear near the cursor, once the cursor is moved onto the Menu you can release the Right Button, the Main Menu will remain visible as long as the cursor is within its area.
All the reports I have seen are full of praise, that is always a good omen!
