New V+ install - what should be done before tech leaves

Hello

Getting V+ installed on 3rd Feb. I saw a thread recently on what to make sure the installer does before he leaves. Can't find thread now so could someone repeat for me.

Thanks

Re: New V+ install - what should be done before tech leaves

The very least he must do is make sure all three tuners on the box are receiving signal, and that any other service you had in place, such as cable modem still works.

Channels can take up to 24 hours, but talking regularly to an engineer where I live, they usually come online whilst they are there.

Make sure before hand that you explain exactly where the box is being installed. I'm not sure of he has to tune in the box to your TV if you have HD, that possibly depends whether or not there is a HDMI lead with the install.

I think one or two engineers post here, so they may be better placed to help.

Well thanks for your response Zeph - a bit blunt wasn't it - and if you read Toto's reply, he suggested that someone might be better placed to help me than him - that was what I was asking for!!!

TBH that didn't come across from your post, it looked like you were ignoring the response. If you wanted to get a better informed attempt quoting that line from the answer might have been a better way to go.
