Re: Recommended Android apps
I know you get google navigation with android - but I like copilot more. Anyway - the new one is half price for 7 days.

Re: Recommended Android apps
I've discovered a few useful apps via the weekly App of the week feature on the Register's Hardware section, worth a look

Re: Recommended Android apps
For those with a Sensation or use their phone as a mp3 player, I recommend PowerAMP. Much better than the supplied player and the sound quality is excellent. This should have come supplied with the phone.
You can try the trial for a couple of weeks.

Re: Recommended Android apps
My dad bought an Atchos tablet, and he wants an app to move apps to the SD, would the "phone" one work, or is there a specific one for tablets?

Should work, dont see no reason why it wouldnt.

Its free & my wife used this on her Galaxy Europa. It tells you if the app can be moved rather than moving it anyway & breaking the prog.

Re: Recommended Android apps
I dare say you could create an app which claimed to turn mobile phones into solid gold and some fool or other would download it. It does worry me just how little common sense some people seem to have. No wonder the scammers prosper....

Wifi Analyzer
Walk around your house to find out how strong your and your neighbour's wireless signal is. Very handy for figuring out where to site your router.
