V+ to DVD picture quality

Hi

After searching these forums for ages I have finally managed to get the right set up with scart leads etc and can successfully record from my V+ box to my DVD recorder, so thanks to all of you for that.

The problem I am having is that the picture quality on the disc when played back isn't very good.

I have the Samsung V+ box, a Sony Bravia TV and a Sony DVD recorder that was bought as part of a package with the TV.

I assume I have all the scart leads right as I can record picture and sound when using the Copy to DVD function with the V+ recordings.

It is just the picture quality.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Its probably something stupid as I'm not very technical.

Thanks in advance

Rachel

Re: V+ to DVD picture quality

The suggestion I would start with is make sure your DVD recorder is set to record in high quality. Normally the best quality record will only give you 1 hour per disc.

Re: V+ to DVD picture quality

Ok thanks I'll try that. There are all different record settings like LP, SP etc so I'll try it on the best quality once

Thanks

Rachel

Brilliant Thanks.

The DVD recorder was set on LP 4hrs. Changed it to SP 2hrs and its fine. May have to use LSP sometimes which is 2.5 hrs if films are bit longer but tried that out and picture is fine on that too.

Thanks again

Rachel
