Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. III

Lets just hope this thread stays to what is coming soon rather than just spiralling into a general thread about all sorts of stuff - see Vol II for example.
Would 1 sticky thread with 1 post that MB could update each week be best and then people can create threads about any content that MB may state?

You know why don't you, this all stems from sky wanting to keep the 'full' set of hd channels to themselves. So that they continually have the upper hand in regards to 'quantity' of channels. Sky will ALWAYS have ammunition in regards to content variety.
Although you would have thought that this agreement would have covered this one channel, mind boggles what goes on in vm!

Good Food HD launching this month, Eden HD launching in October.
Artcile on Broadcast makes no mention of Virgin though worryingly, just Sky.

Classics HD was announced quite a while ago wasn't it? At least it's been expected since all the other movie channels went HD. You would've thought VM would have insisted on it being included... or at least some clause saying any HD channels under the Sky Movies brand would be included for the appropriate fee

this is why I think VM should hang onto the UKTV channels. They got screwed by Sky before and with no channels they won't have much to bargain with in the future with Sky

Can anyone confirm comedy central is now widescreen yet? With the hd channel launching today I was hoping until we get it we will at least get 16.9 programming
