virgin HD signal strength

Does a v Hd box require a stronger signal than say a SD set top box or do they both have the same signal strength.

You need a decent connection as it has 3 tuners, but not "stronger" as such

EDIT: oops! thought you meant V+ ...same goes for V-HD though... so long as the connection is currently ok you should be fine

The modulation is the same for HD (I assume) so the signal strength is the same. Give or take. The headend launches at varying levels with the intention of a roughly flat receive level.
Satellite has different modulation schemes for most of its HD channels.
