Despite living in AL9 my broadband was out too this morning.
A nice lady in India told me my modem is faulty and has booked an engineer to visit tomorrow.
Then discover that a friend down the road has also lost his broadband.
Relief was at hand thanks to my Virgin mobile dongle.
The virginmedia website, Help (sic) Section, fails to cnnect to Cable status.

AL4 - no outage here. What area does WGC run through? I'd assume the Stevenage line? I only ask as we go via Hemel. You can check by looking at your hostname.
Update at 1.30 pm: just returned home to find a message on my answering m/c saying that there is a network fault and that the engineer will not be calling tomorrow.
Still unable to access Cable Status; is this because I am using a Dongle?

We go out through Hatfield I believe. Still down apparently when I just checked in with home. Service status page suggests there is a good service.
