Connecting up V+, DVD and TV

confused 77 year old needs simple diagram to connect v+(2 scart sockets/hdmi) to Panasonic hd tv 2 scarts + hdmi and to dvd recorder 2 scarts+ hdmi.Which scart socket do i use on V+ to connect to whatever?

I'd do it like this:

V+ connected to HDMI 1 on the TV
DVD recorder connected to HDMI 2 on the TV
V+ 'VCR' scart connected to the first scart input on the DVD recorder.

So this will allow you to:
Watch V+ on the TV using the HDMI 1 input
Watch DVD's on the TV using the HDMI 2 input
Archive material from V+ to DVD-R by setting the input on the DVD-R to 'AV-1'.

However, I have changed the thread title to be something a little more meaningful which may help persuade someone to help.
