Astraweb newsgroup problems anyone? - Page 2

I have tried the european server, with all four different ports, what settings are you using for your server details, and it may sound dumb but what is the phdl server people have said about. My ISP is Plusnet and I think it may be them and their new usage policies slowing me down if I were to download more than 15GB per month. Cheers

now that people have 10 mbps, whats there speed on astraweb?

Not sure if people are still having problems, however I never have a problem with astraweb.

Using europe.news.astraweb.com, with a 10MB connection is currently at ~750kb/s stable. I've seen it go up to 1MB sometimes as well.

With all 8 connections going on Grabit, I get consistently over 1100kB/s on the European server.

aphyde9...the pbdl server is the server that pay by download customers are supposed to use.
