Netflix has acquired the exclusive UK rights to CBS All Access’ new Star Trek series, from CBS Television Studios and Bryan Fuller, after striking a wide-ranging deal with international distributor CBS Studios International, TVWise has learned. Episodes will be available to stream on Netflix UK less than 24 hours after they air in the United States.

The as-yet untitled series is being shepherded by former Trek writer and Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller, who is serving as showrunnner. Fuller recently revealed that the show’s first 13 episode season will tackle a single serialised story and CBS have stated that it will feature a new crew, new villains, new heroes and new worlds. The writing team includes Fuller, Nicholas Meyer and Alex Kurtzman. The trio also executive produce alongside Heather Kadin, Gretchen Berg, Aaron Harberts, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth .

Sky1 is re-teaming with Harlan Coben for The Four – a new original drama series from the noted author, The Driver scribe Danny Brocklehurst and Nicola Shindler’s indie Red Production Company.

The Four is described as a stand-alone, character-driven thriller that tells the chilling story of an idyllic family community irrevocably shattered by secrets, lies, suspicions and misguided trust. The series order comes a little more than two months after Coben’s first original TV project, The Five, wrapped on Sky1 after a successful run.
