Re: BT seeks Virgin compensation over MVNO migration

I moved to from Virgin to Sky the moment I knew they were migrating from EE to Vodaphone.

Ironically, Virgin ultimately merged with O2 (Sky use O2's network).

Re: BT seeks Virgin compensation over MVNO migration

I hadn't realised that all Virgin Mobile customers had now been migrated on to the 02 network. If it wasn't for their punitive RPI+ increases I'd consider switching, as O2 has the best signal in my area.

I am still on Virgin Mobile and as far as I am aware I am not on o2. I have used the same sim for 14 months and they did not ask me to change it when I renegotiated. I thought they would have had to change the sim

They haven't. The article is about alleged premature switching from EE and not about switching from Vodafone.

I believe recent Virgin sim cards don't need to be replaced if they switch network provider.

The line in the article that led me to believe that is " Virgin completed the move to the Telefónica network early in 2022."

They havent (yet) but it will probably happen, I suspect all new customers go on O2.

Re: BT seeks Virgin compensation over MVNO migration

When we moved to the volt package my wife's Simcard and account were transferred to O2 so we now get billed separately for that

Yup, it's a bit misleading.
