Strange number appears on screen.
I have a Samsung TV (40" Smart TV).
Watching the Man C v Spurs (Sky Sports 1 HD) game the number "1136483170" appears in the bottom left hand corner.
My dad said this has happened before, but not sure if it's the same number.
I changed channel and its still there.
Thinking it might be software related I checked the samsung and did a update, but it just reappeared.
So is this Tivo related?

Yeah, was on mine as well but a different number. It's something similar to the pint glass thing you see on Sky TV during sports programmes where it only appears on boxes where the subscription is for commercial use (i.e. pubs).

Is it just me or is a 10 digit number in the bottom left of the screen, and reasonably big typeface too, really flipping annoying when you're trying to watch a match?!
For example it blocked out Sky's on screen graphics saying how many corners Chelsea have had.
Why VM????

Apparently to get rid of it, you have to record the match and watch the recording (a second or two behind the live broadcast) and then the number doesn't show. Uurgh, another thing to remember to do.

Sooo, if you were illegally streaming a "live" broadcast all you would have to do is timeshift by a couple of seconds? If that's the case then it rather makes a mockery of the security that the code is intended to ensure.

They are in negotiation's with Sky regarding having it in the top right but it appears Sky want to much money for it...

I'd also recorded the Chelsea Liverpool game through Series Link and had a quick flick through last night and can confirm that the number did not show on the recording.

yes i have tried that today and it works by pausing the show for 2 secs and then playing it

Noticed that they have now reduced the time it appears on screen.
It comes on after 10, 25 and 40 minutes and stays on for 5 minutes rather than the 10 minutes it started with.
Still find it annoying though.
