Re: Streaming HD from laptop to ps3

I do this on my xbox 360 via the Media Centre that came with my laptop.

So I guess the PS3 can.

There is another option .

I put all my media on a USB HDD and plug this into the xbox, saves the PC needing to be on and only requires the media be compatable.

If not I use super to convert.

I should think the PS3 can do this as well?

I don't own a PS3 so I cannot say.

I found this for the PS3

The xbox supports these

I know with the Xbox 360 you can stream WMV movies which are HD copies of blurays as i do it all the time, Via window 7 and Xbox dashboard.

Re: Streaming HD from laptop to ps3

Tversity is probably the most common and easiest to set for streaming. There are plenty of guides on line for configuring. I recommend Tversity.

Re: Streaming HD from laptop to ps3

Use Tversity, its great. I use it all the time to HD streaming. I used nero for a while but it would randomly crash while streaming an then not start up again etc.
You can also access Tversity from iphone and over web too which is fun.

Re: Streaming HD from laptop to ps3

I found streaming to be a little buggy specially with HD content . I just burn compatible files to a rewritable now instead( can turn laptop off then and be an eco warrior lol )
