correct info re poor speeds?

I have been having very poor speeds since having 60mb installed a few weeks ago, reported this over a week ago via India, just called them up and was told there was a major fault at Virgins end and it was scheduled for repair on 23rd May, is there anyway I can find out if this is correct?
Thanks

Re: correct info re poor speeds?

ask for a fault reference, if they give you one then its been reported, if not they are just fobbing you off

Re: correct info re poor speeds?

yeah, the only way I can see it being fixed is if they havent actually got round to doing the upgrade work in your area yet and it is planned for April/May and they just made up a random date at the end of May hoping they would have done it by then. Whack your postcode in here and see when you are due.

July onwards (Coventry). Will I have to wait till then? My conection was fine and problem free when I was on 10mb.

Re: correct info re poor speeds?

10mbit (and 20 i believe) are on a different network. 30mbit+ which everyone will eventually be on is docsis3. The reason why it sucks ass atm is because the capacity for your area isnt designed to handle a large volume of people on increased speeds yet and they are banging people like yourself onto the new tiers left right and center. They are going round by are and adding extra juice (like an extra lane on the motorway) which will help eventually.
