Aerial installation advice please

can someone help me please i have just brought a tv for a bedroom my bedroom has no aerial in it and i want to get freeview in my room ive done the test to see what aerial i need and it says high gain so i take it from that that an indoor one wont work very well so if i install one in my loft that would be better? also what is best way of getting the cable from the loft i dont think my landlord will be to impressed me drilling holes in the roof? any help will be gratefully received thanks

Your best bet would be to ask the Landlord if he'd allow a high-gain antenna to be installed if you paid for it.

I would heavily advise against loft aerials. You lose so much. Far better having even a yagi on the roof.

It isn't always as easy as just bunging an aerial up, it's worth reading this site on what's involved.
