Re: Can you play the latest PC games?

I can play Football Manager 2012 so Crysis shouldn't be a problem...

Re: Can you play the latest PC games?

My graphics card, an Nvidia GTX295 won't play BF3 as it is not DX11 but plays everything else ok.

Re: Can you play the latest PC games?

I have an ancient Radeon HD4850, one of the first ones that came out. That sysinfo tool just says LOL when I suggest running BF3 even though the rest of the system is perfectly ok. Going to invest in a new one next week: Maybe a 6970.

Re: Can you play the latest PC games?

Peter, I'm on a 4850 with 512mb of mem and play BF3 okay still okay its on medium but performs good enough.

Saying that at the end of the month I'll be putting either a 6950 in or 6870.

Re: Can you play the latest PC games?

Yes med is what it says for mine Doc, it's an old Asus 512MB one. The cooling fan is on it's last legs I think as when I play ArmA2 the card overheats and system goes into shutdown. Can't fault it though considering the beating it's taken over the years.

Re: Can you play the latest PC games?

Ah that's better

system.jpg

Watch the 6970 if you get one doc, it's as long as a bus. Had to move a drive out of the way to fit it into the case. Needs both a 6 pin and an 8 pin and 8 pin pci-e power feed (individual feeds, no y-splitters) also so check psu before clicking add to basket.

Re: Can you play the latest PC games?

I have just bought X-Plane 10 flight simulator which needs a good spec pc to run it but it is not listed on system requirements lab at the moment.
The sim is on eight, yes eight DVD's and takes up over 80gig of hard drive so i will install it when i get more time as i would imagine the installation will take some time.

---------- Post added at 15:55 ---------- Previous post was at 15:46 ----------

I would love to play something like this but the amount of time and money needed to play such a game its way out of my pocket and I wouldn't have the time to learn all the controls
