SATA express port question

Hi,

Just bought a motherboard with 6 SATA ports and a SATA express port. I have many HDDs plus a SATA DVD RW, can I plug my SATA hdds into the SATA express ports, thereby having 8 SATA ports?

Thanks.

Re: SATA express port question

You would have to check in the motherboard manual to see if they are shared ports or not. Some cheaper boards share SATA and eSATA ports.
