Decent HD TV for < £300

Anybody got any recommendations for a HD TV for under or around £300?

I'm thinking of something around the 32" mark.

Just realised 'Lifestyle' might not be the best place for this - sorry.

I'm on the iPhone and got distracted

My old man managed to bag a nice new 32 Inch Sony Bravia from a local shop for £250 a few months ago, it has great picture and build quality.

Or alternatively walk into a local boozer on the outskirts of Liverpool and you can probably get hold of a 50 inch 3D plasma with full surround sound for about the same price

Re: Decent HD TV for < £300

id seriously check out richersounds.co.uk, they have quite a few tvs under £300 , i brought all my tvs from there all LG 3D, excellent afterservice plus a 5 year warranty will only cost you 10% of the price you pay for the tv so excellent value for money

We recently got a Sony from Bestbuy, excellent native picture but pricing depends on what size screen you want.

The Samsung LE32C530 that Wayne linked to was highly rated in WHICH magazine. I very nearly bought one when my LG died ( PC tv) but stuck with a smaller monitor instead for now

I've got the 580 version of this for my bedroom, the picture is great for a 50Hz set but the sound is terrible and really lets it down.

Re: Decent HD TV for < £300

This Sony 32" is a pretty good deal for £299.99
1080p plus an internal freeview HD tuner, only 50Hz though.
Not surprising that they are currently out of stock

Re: Decent HD TV for < £300

There is nothing wrong with 50hz on a decent screen. Also some people are sensitive to faster refresh and actually see a flicker so I would advise veiwing a faster screen if you have not already.

BTW I know this for a fact as I am senisitive to my Panny 46 in Neo PDP and if I knew before I would have opted for a slower screen

anyone wanna save £200 and buy it off me lmao

Re: Decent HD TV for < £300

We had a 40" Samsung 100hz for a few weeks then exhanged it for a 40" 50hz Sony. None of us can tell any difference between them.

Our local Sainsburys is doing a 32" Sony for £299 IIRC. Not sure of exact model.
