Sorry I would never put the words cheap & good together.
Buy cheap get rubbish. Is the maxim I work by. There has to be a reason why it is cheap. If its not stolen or end of line what could that be ?

Re: reccomend a cheap ink compatible inkjet printer, wireless?

Thing is a lot of companies will sell their printers quite cheap & the end user will say "wow that was a good price" then when they go to get some new ink they get charged more for the carts than what the printer cost in the first place.
This is also why manufacturers chip their ink tanks to make it harder for compatibles. So being "cheap" doesn't always mean its crap, it generally means they try to make more money off of ink sales.
Best advice would be find the printer you want that fits the specs you need then find out how much compatibles or original inks cost & make your decision on that.
Most printers do a good job now days & at the bottom end of the market there really isn't much that separates them in quality & print speed.

Find one that you can get a CISS for, (Continuous Ink Supply System) I have an Epson printer using one and I save an absolute fortune on ink.

CISS is just 4 or 6 containers of ink all together feeding a combined ink cartridges via a tube system from outside of the printer.. I have one on my Epson PX730WD.

Here's the one I have though I get the inks from a friend who works in the printing trade

I would. I bought the Epson PX720WD for £50 from Ebuyer in a deal of the day . Inks cost 15 quid for 4 sets and its an AIO wifi or ethernet networked as well as USB that prints CDs and it is auto duplex

less mark up and manufactured non fair trade by some poor Indian, Chinese boy/girl for a bowl of rice?? does not mean its rubbish

Buy a printer that the cartridge is only a res and does not have a print head ie Epson or Canon as inks will always be cheaper for these

I had a Epson printer for 6 years with a CISS fitted, paid for itself over & over. I recently bought an Epson SX130, a cheapo printer / Scanner, & a set of "Auto Reset, Refillable" cartridges. Much the same principal as the CISS but you fill the cartridge when it gets low. I`ve been printing like the clappers lately, very cheaply.

Re: reccomend a cheap ink compatible inkjet printer, wireless?

The CISS kits have a multi-chip reset button which resets all the carts on one press..

As for the EpsonPX730 it's a great printer.. Photo printing is great and borderless and really fast.. The duplexer works good and the scanner is good quality. The 720 isn't a lot different just a slightly earlier model..

Re: reccomend a cheap ink compatible inkjet printer, wireless?

Yes, the CISS kit comes in two parts, part 1 is the cartridge which replaces all of the original cartridges in the printer, it has a reset button on it for when the printer reports the cartridge is low... The other part is a multi-pot ink reservoir which stores the inks (normally 100ml or more per color) The two parts are connected via silicone tubing..

For printers where the ink cartridge moves you need to place it so the tubes can move side to side, for printers like the 730/720 where the cartridges do not move it just goes to the side
