Compression on Telewest

I am seeing a lot more compression artifacts on Telewest particularly on fast moving action (24, Land of the Dead on Teleport movies). This appears more noticeable recently (TVDrive maybe?).

Is there any way to increase the bandwidth going into the TV Drive or is this an issue at the broadcast end.

The difference between DVD and Teleport/Cable is quite noticeable.

Re: Compression on Telewest

Compression on broadcast tv is done by the broadcaster - telewest just carry the mpeg2 stream that they provide.

I'm not sure who does the compression on Teleport, but its unlikely to be a problem with your STB.
