Audio Description

Doctors and now Eastenders on BBC have audio description on them and I can't switch it off. I have made sure that it is not turned on in the alternate audio settings, but its still on.

Anyone else having this issue? Is it Virgin Media issue or BBC's broadcast (only happening on BBC One so suspect the latter)

Re: Audio Description

Yes, same here. There are a couple of threads which have sprung up on the Virginmedia Community boars on this topic as well so it may be a little wider spread. Service status checker isn't highlighting it at present though.

Re: Audio Description

I have been having lots of problems in the last couple of days.

Noticed this problem when exiting a recording with bbc1hd as the channel.

It is definitely a virgin problem as I switched to bbc1hd on my sky box and nothing.

Noticed I had option for quick view through virgin so I presume I have the new software from when I do not know.

I am beginning to wonder if my lack of sky and BT channels is also down to new software? And even lack of broadband?

Today I have been told by a virgin CS that you do not need broadband on to get sky and BT channels - opposite of what I was told on Sunday.

Anyway at 20:05 today the broadband decided to start working as did my champions league recordings

Re: Audio Description

Same thing happening here.

On some recordings you can switch it off and some you can't.

It's not just BBC1, it was on a programme about Strangeways prison on Channel 5 last night.

I could turn it off, but on at least one occasion it turned itself back on!

How do you turn it off for future reference?
