Re: What does this mean

Everyone gets the DHCP fails and can be ignored. If your modem died at the same time (it won't because the message occurs while your current lease is still 50% available), then there could be a condition such as congestion or fault.

The DCC event is where the CMTS changes your downstream primary channel either for load balancing reasons or to help establish your channel bonding group.

Re: What does this mean

how often would you expect it to do that because I have been on channels, 24, 25, 26 and 27 since the beginning of time? (not that I have ever had any speed issues)

Re: What does this mean

The DCC is a rare event in my experience. Emprically it seems to happen in highly congested areas. It usually happens (when it happens) on a modem reboot. It can happen in dynamic load balancing situations whilst online. I think I've seen that a couple of times in the forums.

Re: What does this mean

That would make sense then as Virgin have said I have Very High Utilization and currently waiting for the design team to work out the best route for the fix
