Nobody said it only appeared on Roku devices.

I'll concede you'll have a point if NowTV every appears on a direct competitors hardware e.g. FireTV. But that isn't going to happen, equally Amazon isn't going to be on Roku in the UK any time soon and neither Netflix or Amazon will be on the Now TV box any time soon.
My recollection was that it had been said that Now TV was only on the Roku, hence my post. If my recollection was wrong, I apologise.

I respect that what you have said in your last paragraph is your opinion, Mike, but there are no facts to support that view. I think that with more devices and TVs supporting Now TV, Sky will make more money. They may wait until the number of new subscribers on existing devices/TVs pass their peak before allowing the app to be present on other platforms, but it will come, in my view.

Be wary of fully loaded mate as you often end up with a load of useless junk that clog up your box.
See how it goes if any issues feel free to message me and i'll try and help you if i can.

Finally a box that supports Netflix, Now TV and Amazon not to mention catch up TV for the main terrestrial channels. Let the cord cutting commence

Fantastic news, means I can get a Roku for my parents for Christmas and they can use all the 3 services they subscribe to (Nextflix, Now TV and Amazon) form one box, saves me buying an HDMI splitter.

Shows me to be completely out of the know :-( as only a few days I'd commented that Amazon coming to Roku was not happening soon. Either somebody has stumped up some cash (Amazon) or Roku see having all 3 on their device as a sales advantage certainly is for me in the case of my parents in that Roku have earned an extra sale from me today.

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services

I think Sky was blamed for it not being on Roku , then again when is Sky not blamed for something on here.

There hasn't been a more realistic reason put forward. Amazon was one of the most popular Roku channels in the US.

Perhaps this is a bid to counter the release of the new Fire TV box i.e. entice Amazon customers to buy a Roku device instead of opting to buy a Fire TV device knowing that the latter doesn't have Now TV and I'd imagine having everything on one device is more important to your general consumer than it is to me.

Whatever the drive behind this Roku has gained an extra sale today of one of their Roku 2 devices off the back of this news.

Good news. Now if only Roku would make it possible to make changes to the DNS settings on their boxes....

Some LG Blu ray players have Netflix, Now TV and Amazon on them.

Amazon is stereo only, but that won't be an issue for many people I suspect.

Doesn't mean that they weren't part of the cause of the delay though... but of course, it doesn't mean that they were

Maybe we will shorty see Now TV on Amazon Fire TV?

5.1 sound from Amazon works fine on my Fire TV.

Fire TV OS 5 should be rolling out to the first generation Fire TV boxes soon which simplifies porting from standard Android TV and was suggested as a reason for Now TV being held back. It hasn't turned up on any Amazon tablets though, although other Sky apps have.
