Exclamation Regular Dropouts

Over the past week or so our home broadband has been hit with regular connection dropouts, with pages throwing up server not found whilst browsing. They don't last very long at a time, but it's been happening frequently. So I ran a test, and it shows up pretty well on there:

Looks to be happening every half an hour or so, which basically means the connection at the moment is no good for demanding things like Netflix streaming or online gaming.

What would be causing this, any ideas? I came to you guys before VM themselves, because I think I'm more likely to get help here.

We've got the 2nd gen Superhub if that helps. I also had a problem the other night whereby I was getting speeds of less than 2mb, so I unplugged the Superhub overnight and it's been fine in that department since.

Re: Regular Dropouts

I've been complaining of the same thing. The spikes are regular and I'd never had them before until just over a week ago. If you check your network log you may see what I see...

The same thing repeated about every 45 minutes or so. VM says they "see no fault or errors".

Re: Regular Dropouts

Yep. Very similar result, just the same thing over and over again:

Interesting that your "spikes" appear to go all the way down, indicating 100% pocket loss, and mine don't. But I'm definitely not getting any connection at all when this occurs, on any device.

Re: Regular Dropouts

This was happening to me this last Sun/Mon about every 45 mins. A call to 150 and it was gone.

Re: Regular Dropouts

All the errors and spikes on the BQM disappeared yesterday afternoon.... so it was a fault and they actually found it!

I filled in an online questionnaire the day before, showing my displeasure at the ongoing faults that VM seemed to be ignoring. I quoted the VM Forum thread titles relating to them... next day one of the faults was fixed....

Coincidence?
