Help with a pre pay service
A friend of mine is looking for a pre paid internet service. The kind of one where you plug in a usb stick to connect.
She would not be a heavy user. Facebook for herself and cbeebies for her daughter. Perhaps a few other sites but hardly if any downloading at all.
Any suggestions here?
Cheers

Re: Help with a pre pay service
Firstly, she really wants to find out what the best mobile network for signal is inside her house

No, you literally need to go inside the house with a couple of mobile phones on different networks and see which gets the better signal (and preferably if at all which one receives 3G)

Re: Help with a pre pay service
Even if a site could tell you what transmitter is closest, if, say there was a huge church in the way (like my house) it doesn't matter who would be the closest, it would be who provided an unimpeded signal

Re: Help with a pre pay service
Graham is right - it really depends on what phone signal is most well received - ours is 3, though it still cuts out sometimes - not often, but it does lose it once in a blue moon - like most mobiles!
aside from the signal, there are reviews of all the networks broadband services in this weeks' Micro Mart magazine.

Re: Help with a pre pay service
Stay away from Orange 3G, Orange 3G reception indoors is horrific! If you live in London then I would suggest T-Mobile,Vodafone or 3.
O2 has the lowest 3G coverage so becareful with them!
