Downgrade

Due to the regular increases, during September this year (2017) I downgraded my package from XL to M

Over the last few weeks, speed on browsing has been extremely slow, reminds me of the dial up days.

How can I tell if I'm getting the right speed for my package

Thinking of going back to XL just for the speed whilst browsing

Re: Downgrade

You probably have other problems if just loading a web page is "slow" on a 100 meg connection.

Unlikely, your browsing speed shouldn't be different between being on the lowest or highest tier.

Do a speed test. Make sure you're doing it on a wired connection with nothing else (not even your phone) connected/doing anything.
