Capture card advice

My son is looking for a capture card.
Current set up :

xbox360 to HD TV via HDMI

He wants to capture gaming video whilst playing, not necessarily in HD though, SD would be fine.

What would the best capture card to do this ?

Would this be compatible with a netbook, if so what would the minimum spec need to be ? (looking to get him a netbook too.)

Thanks for any advice...
