Outlook 2010 problem

When I send dispatch notifications to customers, I copy and paste the text from a word doc, and then just edit it slightly. I have all the formatting set up on the word doc, and until recently it pasted all the formatting into the e-mail. However for some reason just recently it has started pasting as plain text.

Does anyone know how to change this back to what it was before?

Re: Outlook 2010 problem

You might find something in the 'use smart cut and paste' options.

file, options, mail, editor options, advanced, (scroll down) smart cut and paste options (and loads of other cut, copy and paste options for you to play with).

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Grim

I've been playing around with that, but it doesn't seem to make any difference

Could your Tools/Options/Mail format somehow have been changed to sending in plain text?

I have checked all the settings, and as far as I know they are all as they should be. But without knowing exactly what they were previously, it's impossible to tell.

Re: Outlook 2010 problem

Go to Tools, Options, Mail, Editor Options, Advanced.

What's in the Cut, Copy and Paste section, especially the Pasting from other programs setting?

Within the same e-mail: Keep Source Formatting
Pasting between e-mails: Keep Source Formatting
Pasting between e-mails when style definitions conflict: Use Destination Styles
Pasting from other programs: Merge Formatting (i've tried other options on this one)
Insert/paste picture as: In Line With Text

Maybe you should read his.

All you've said is you don't think you changed anything and you don't know what the settings should be.

Both of which are entirely useless points. If you don't know what they should be then how about telling us?
