Re: Hotbird 13 degrees - Technomate - Sky HD box

A bigger dish will always improve your reception. I can't really comment on sats other than those used by regular UK broadcasters in the Sky and Freesat EPGs though, as that's all I use mine for. For these sats, the dish normally supplied by Sky in Scotland should always be fine, provided it has been properly fitted and aligned.

Re: Hotbird 13 degrees - Technomate - Sky HD box

Need some more advice...
My dish is aligned to 13 degrees east and yet I get signal from arabsat @ 28 degrees, Eutelsat at 9 degrees, and eutelsat @ 33 degrees. I only have 1 lnb.. strength is at 98/100 per cent in all cases and between 65 and 67 signal quality in all cases.. Is there a problem with my set up?

If you're getting what you want, there's nothing wrong with your set up. . Anything extra is a bonus. The other sats you're seeing might just have very large footprints. Again, Kymmy's our resident expert on non-UK sats, she might have an accurate answer for you.
