Ross Satellite - No signal

Hi I have a Ross satellite system picked up from b&Q. Fixed the dish on wall and pointed dish in rough direction of sat with a compass. The receiver says "no signal" connected as satellite meter to dish and this also showed no signal at all. I would have expected at least a very weak signal rather than no signal at all.
Check all cables and they are good. So what is wrong any ideas, Thanks

Re: Ross Satellite - No signal

Thats ok will worry about getting the correct sat later. My initial question is should i get a signal however poor. Surely if if point the sat in the general direction i should at least get a poor signal , even background signal. But i get nothing "no signal"

Unless you're pointing at exactly the right area (well within a degree) then you will get no signal.
