Ok, so they are offering free access to 118180.

Does this offer cover calls to:

118770 Telewest 2 numbers no onward connection
118120 Telewest multiple numbers
118878 NTL

Or is it just the former Telewest 118180 number?

And why is it that most 118 numbers including the 35p 118099 Cable and Wireless number are barred in the Telewest areas?

Re: Free Virgin Media directory enquiries

It's the 118180 number, as it says in the Call Costs PDF (page 5) at www.virginmedia.com/callcosts

And as for 118 number availability I would assume that any not available were never set up on the telephone network for that company, rather than a specific choice to bar them

Re: Free Virgin Media directory enquiries

Thanks-I usually use 118770 when i'm in a hurry and can't be bothered to use google sometimes, because it's just a flat rate, 118878 can now be used on Telewest lines and even though it is the same service as 118770, it still remains 10p more expensive
