Ahh - Flange falls into that old "Skoda's are a heap of s***" trap...
They are not the car they once were....built by VW now...
|
Hmm - I see now how the wording of that sentence didnt come out as I had planned!!!!
My sister knows fine well how to operate a car - she's a better driver than me and my dad (by our own admission!!). Its just that she has only ever driven the Corsa, and has found the Skoda to be a difficult task!!
I think the fact that the eejit that ran into her (I was in the car) has knock her confidence back somewhat. It has even affected me!! Can I claim for mental anguish?? And intermittant whiplash!! lol

You really have to smack a BMW to make it roll into a ball?

Re: Skoda Fabia Owners??
what gets me about bmw's is all those features you get that owners just don't bother using. you know, the luxuries, like indicators
.

Re: Skoda Fabia Owners??
I thought this was about Skoda.
and yes they are still crap, even though they're OWNED by VW.
If you want a VW then buy a VW and notice the ride and comfort campared to a wannabe

Re: Skoda Fabia Owners??
Going back to the original point of this thread,
if its a hire car its not your responsibility to fix it, take it back imediatly as they may try and charge you for the damage!
The car should of gone through a check list before they let it out!
As for the poor condition of the vehicle ... its a hire car, they are notorious for being mistreated by the temporay owners who really dont care about how much they wear the clutch and brakes. and also rev / race the engine when its cold. As long as it lasts the few days they have it, its fine!

if you wanna pay through the nose for a badge, buy a vw skodas are manufactured in the world's most state of the art factory and the build quality is excellent - the chassis of a fabia? the polo.
on the topic, agree with keith. kick the butt of the hire co. if any problems - if its a credit hire, which it sounds like, they're making a tidy shilling so make sure you get good service.

Personally I'd rather have the SEAT offering (Another owned by VW) just the seats seem to be that little step above.
As to the BMW comments, I have never met a responsible BMW driver, though I do personally really like some of the cars. Im hoping sometime in the not too distant future to join thier ranks as the first BMW driver with manners and installed indicators.
And as to the actual point of the topic. I agree with the post above mine, take it back before they try and charge you for what has been done by them or the previous user.
