Picture flickering

Hi all, as the title says the picture keeps flickering, and black shadows come across the screen. This only happens when watching cable, not on ordinary TV channels. Any idea if this could be a fault with the V+ box or an area fault? It's been doing it since yesterday, TIA, WWAS.

Re: Picture flickering

I'd advise you switch the STB off at the mains and check cabling at the rear of the STB and TV then switch the STB back on.

Thanks, I've just done that and they were all in ok, and it's still the same.

Re: Picture flickering

Might be worth trying a different Lead from STB and rear of TV. Failing that a call to VM for a possible fault.

Re: Picture flickering

Just an update. I tried changing leads and it didn't stop it, so I rang VM and they had me doing the usual, turning off and stuff. He then said I'm sending something (think he said signal) to the box, so when it's done see if that's worked, otherwise I'll book an engineer. Don't know what he did but it worked! Thanks for the suggestions alexcopeland......
