Wireless Video Sender Query
Hi all.
I want to have a TV in the kitchen without wires all over the place.
Do the wireless sender things allow me to just watch normal TV-terrestrial, freeview, on my new TV?
THANKS

Re: Wireless Video Sender Query
Hi there, I have edited your thread title so that it is more visible than "Help" as someone with the right knowledge might not necessarily look at such a thread I have also moved it into a better forum section as it isn't really to do with "Alternatives to Virgin Media"

Re: Wireless Video Sender Query
The wireless sender will just send the same signal to any tv's with a receiver so all tv's will have the same channel on at once. So yes, you could watch freeview, sky etc, on any tv if it is connected to your wireless sender. Just make sure it supports your remote control if it has a channel changing facility or you'll have to go into the room with the main TV in to change the channel!

Thanks, can you just confirm I will be able to receive BBC 1/2 ITV 1 CHANNEL 4/5 with the sender? Can you recommend a wireless sender ?

The sender isn't limited to any specific channels. Basically when you get one you plug 1 part into the V+ box (for example) and the other part into the second TV. The other TV will then have whatever channel the V+ is currently playing on the channel you tune the receiver in to.
As AbyssUnderground said, whatever channel is on in the main TV room will be the channel you see on the receiver in the kitchen.

Many thanks,
I just wanted to be sure it could pick up analogue signals (BBC1/2 etc.) as well as digital (BBC news 24)

please be aware as in previous posts the video sender will only transmit what you put into it so you wil still need a freeview/v box/dvd source in another room

Re: Wireless Video Sender Query
Think of the sender as being just like a long SCART lead, what you put in at one end, you get out of the other...
On a cable box, it'll show whatever the cable box is showing, but it does not provide any channels itself.
If you want freeview to the kitchen TV, without a good enough signal to use a set top antenna, then you'd need a freeview box connected to the main arial to feed the sender.
