Re: Samsung Galaxy S8

Here is all the info from the unpacked event,

https://www.sammobile.com/2017/03/30...nveiling-here/

I've pre-ordered the S8 in grey as I am sue an upgrade. Currently using an LG G4.

Phone looks amazing and the serious lack of bezels is vey impressive.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S8

With the S8+ having a gargantuan 6.2 inch screen I'm not sure what a new note could offer apart from the stylus as the feature list of the new handset is impressive.

Also refurbished note 7s will be sold in some markets so a note 8 may not happen.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S8

Really. That sucks.

Also if you pre-order in the USA you get a free Gear VR but there are no pre-order bonuses unless you count getting it 8 days early a bonus.

Release is 28th April but you will receive it on the 20th

+6 months means you wait until 6 months after launch for any gremlins to surface.

Indeed as previous history has taught us to be a little cautious.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S8

Yes, I keep a very close eye on phone tech, and seemingly awesome devices are often marred by something later fixed - or not, either way it's good to be careful.

GSM.Arena is the most robust of the sites for doing reviews, and XDA-Developers the best forums for all things Android, with dedicated forums for each phone model.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S8

I am always up to date on tech and have bought all my phones at launch and never really had any issues. Small software niggles can be fixed so it not an issue for me.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S8

Nice to see that Samsung have not followed Apple's marketing gimmickry tactics and included a headphone jack.

Awaiting real world battery life opinions with baited breath though. I'm not at all happy with my S7 Edge after the Nougat upgrade. Not sure if it's Samsung's build or just something on my handset.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S8

I hope its ok, I quite closely scrutinized the S7 Edge but was somewhat put off by what seems to be a high number of broken screens
