This has probably been discussed many times but I'm newbie and need to ask the questions. Is there anyway to connect an external hard drive to the Virgin Media Tivo box. Also, is there a way to enable the usb ports on the back of the box?
They are powered so you can use them to charge your phone etc. They were in the build spec of the box but VM decided not to use them, so as far as the firmware is concerned they don't exist.

I was thinking of connecting my Echo Dot to the USB port on my V6, and it will free up a valuable plug socket.
