Wrong numbers

Hi, wonder if anyone can tell me if this is possible,my area code is 01942,a friend of mine who lives in the same code area has got me on two seperate occasions when ringing an 0161(manchester) area number,(or so he claims)the numbers following the area code are completly different. when he rings the number again right away he gets through. i didt think this would be possible,i have never had a wrong number from someone dialing an 0161 number on any other occasion. would be interested to know if this has happened to anyone else?

Re: Wrong numbers

it doesnt sound possible, unless the person at 0161 is using call forwarding to go to you

Re: Wrong numbers

Has he got you on speed dial? Possibly his phone thinking he's dialling your speed number and ignoring the rest of the digits he's putting in.
