Does any one know if there are any plans to have ITV on the Catch Up On Demand Service on Virgin Media?

I remember when Catch Up TV First Launched on the ex Telewest network the guides showing how to use it had ITV On it. I allways wondered why they advertised on there videos ITV but its not actually on and ive never seen it on.

Would be nice to have for when i end up forgetting progs are on i want to watch and handy for a boring Sunday!

Re: Catch Up TV On Demand - ITV

I was advised that there are problems getting ITV onto On Demand due to advertising issues - i.e. ITV see a problem in that why would advertisers pay ITV to show adverts that none of us would watch

Re: Catch Up TV On Demand - ITV

But they edit all there content before it is put on OD. They take out all the adverts and put the posh bit at the begging saying "Your watching 4OD, The place to watch channel 4 programmes on demand"

This isn't, apparently, a problem with on-demand programs from itv.com. Why should it be a problem with Cable on demand?

Re: Catch Up TV On Demand - ITV

It still stricks me as to why It was never there when Catch Up TV On Demand first started. On the ex-Telewest network (not sure about ex-ntl) but if any one took a look at the teleport information service there was a video deminstration showing you how to use teleport (as it was called at the time) and in the video there was ITV. But yet it was never actually on the teleport.

So who knows could be something in a year or two.
