Now got 6 Downstream Channels
Hi, this morning my superhub locked up, and had to be rebooted.. after rebooting it I noticed it now has 6 channels.
Connection speeds seem more consistant now as well funnily enough.. dont know why they didnt just go straight to 8 which they keep proposing instead of 6?
But also, this increase in downstream channels seems to of caused my power levels to increase by about 3dBmV.

Re: Now got 6 Downstream Channels
upstream power is the lowest I have ever seen. It is within spec but keep an eye on it dude.

Re: Now got 6 Downstream Channels
I've seen a 16db upstream, also it's quite common in my area to have 30 to 35

My upstream was 47 but for weeks it went to 36 I posted about it but was told its fine.
There is only 1 tap in the pit so it can't be adjusted that way by means of a higher attenuation point. So it's on their network somewhere causing it.

Mine in the winter went as low as 30.5 dBmV and sometimes lower, gives a good indication of how warm it is outside... lol. Though it used to be around 40-50 dBmV until they added another downstream channel from four to five, which I find odd as many people are getting 6 or 8. This was a few months ago (I made a thread on it.) I'm on a Motorola BSR so always had four.
Speaking of low upstream, I remember my connection being very unstable at the time when they added the new channel because the upstream was too low (28-29), it just couldn't get a lock on to the network till it increased. Mick Fisher also had this problem.
