Not standard but you can buy a live-view viewfinder which fits to the hotshoe at extra cost of course.

Pretty amazing price too, nearly £2400 for the D800 body, even higher for the D800E.

What could you do with 36 megapixels? a 7360x4912 pixel image - enough for a 3 foot by 2 foot print while still keeping the 200 ppi resolution that seems to be the rule of thumb for prints at arms length viewing distance.

And how much storage would a RAW image from that bad boy need?

They are great Cobby.

1. Not a lot to laugh about these days in Manchester City centre so it's good to see Manc humour is still alive and kicking.

2. What a great advertisement. Which reminds me it's been a long time since we had a night at the Dogs. Will have to get on to our friends and book a meal out at the Racetrack.

2.16m Euros for a Leica null-serie:
Quote:
A prototype Leica camera has sold for 2.16m euros (£1.74m), setting a new world record for a camera.

It was one of just 25 models created in 1923 as a prototype for the groundbreaking Leica A, which was the first commercially successful compact camera to use 35mm film.

Branded the "null-serie", or 0-Series, only 12 are known to have survived.

What type of camera did you use, and what settings did you use.

It could be you used auto settings, so in a very bright situation the exposure will be short so they could come out darker. Also some auto scene settings can change a lot. If you are facing the sun, it will be darker still, away from the sun obviously will be brighter and better. Whilst auto is handy, it hardly ever means it's the best setting to use.

But there's nothing something like photoshop or lightroom can't fix here.

The exposure time was too quick, sometimes in bright situations you can adjust the exposure in auto mode to compensate this. For out side in daylight, the ISO setting seems a bit high also.

But I think with that camera you don't have much control over the exposure times, so I think editing them via something like lightroom would be the best solution.
