Yes and I should have had sight of these changes as the overall network architect on this account but some one decided that this one should have been standard patching/information only

Nothing so funky for this nope. Although most of the infrastructure is sitting on vblocks these boxes are pretty much out-of-band due to their placement in the network and certain security constraints. They're sitting on an ad-hoc ESX farm which is administered by hands and eyes. They're software based security gateways doing some element level crypto on SOAP payloads coming in via a number of sources.

Items being delivered with parts missing. Ordered a new wireless mouse and keyboard which arrived this morning with the USB plug in and play bit missing. Sent them a message to see what happens next.

I think my moan / hate of the day is people who assume I'm some kind of idiot because I don't agree with them.
No, it just means I'm not agreeing with you - not that I'm stupid or anything.
If you don't know me ASK. I very rarely withheld information about myself.
Quite frankly nuts to you (you know hwo you are)!

Well you are from Sandy!
*runs away!*
Note for anyone not from the area: I live in a town right next to Dilli, and thus it is my duty to poke fun at people from Sandy! Of course I am joking and totally agree with his sentiment. Usually this sort of behaviour is also accompanied with no valid logic behind it, but it's easier to call someone an idiot than to prove someone wrong!

Scam calls...
Just got one of them scam calls about the accident I was in first I've heard LOL anyway I asked them who they were and in fact I believe this to be a scam call and illegal not to mention that I'm actually on the TPS service. The gentleman said it was not illegal and I simply replied I think you have the wrong information as I am in fact a Lawyer then they hung up rather quickly, which was a pity as I was enjoying being a pretend Lawyer in regards to my pretend accident. I do hope they phone back as that was quite fun and has made my day tbh

Haha!
It's a shame the call didn't proceed further. I wonder what sort of accident you had? :p

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
I had one of those calls a month or so ago, and I strung them along. They were going they could get me lots of money for my injury. Until I said, oh and will driving without a licence affect my claim. They went quiet, said repeat please. I took great pleasure in telling them that I have never driven as my sight isn't good enough for driving. Swear he said a rude word as he hung up...

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
My printer finally gave up the ghost.
Mind you it's not all bad, I've been after an A3 printer for ages so time to shell out I think.

Reminds me of a rather wierd scam call I got a few months back.
I had a call on my Landline from "Barking Police Station" claiming they'd picked up one of my cousins trying to use my bank card. Sounded quite legit and they had my name. When I asked which cousin it was, they gave me a name I didn't recognise, and while I am certain none of my cousins would have taken my card, I do know people who would nick it, and would have probably given my name if they'd have been picked up.
So, I checked my wallet and sure enough, all the cards were there. I said they could just send it to my local Police station and I'd pick it up. They said they couldn't, so I said I needed to phone the bank. They said OK, but to call back later.
I called my bank (from my mobile), spoke to their security department who said they had never heard of this, but it was probably an attempt at fraud, and I should monitor my account for a few days. Nothing came out.
Of course, I never called back (in fact, I unplugged the phone, plugged it back in again and dialled the speaking clock to check it). I never heard anything from them again.
