=== Did you Know? ===
* In 1990 Eurosport was closedown for about TWO Weeks when Sky (part owners that the time) pull out when they took over BSB [BSB run The Sport Channel - It now called Sky Sports 1]. Eurosport was restarted again when the owners of Screensport step in.
* In 1981 ITV make an bid to run an new channel called ITV2 but they lost out to Channel 4 Television Corporation and Channel 4 started.

"Our strategy on HD hasn't changed and we will continue to add the best available programming to our on demand system," a spokeswoman told DS.
"There will be extensive coverage of the Beijing Olympics in HD on BBC HD, which all HD-ready Virgin Media customers will be able to receive without the need for any form of HD subscription."
So that quote from virgin says no!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
just noticed on the licence section of ofcom name changes for zone channels.
zone reality extra is to be renamed zone thriller.
zone thriller will be changed to zone hoorer +1
raefil This stance is not an indefinate one at the moment yes as its a bandwidth issue but once this eases and improvement is made then things will change. Its just the currently impossible for VM to do anything at this stage.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
One correction:
It was in 1991, not 1990, when Eurosport briefly closed down when Sky pulled out. Eurosport and Screensport merged two years later.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV
Latest updates are in, I know TV Boy normally announces it but I just wanted to say a thank you to him for a) keeping this all up to date, and b) making it so easy for me to make the changes each week
