Re: Does 8 Channels actually mean anything?

I have 5 downstream channels in use on our "100" package. Hopefully 120 won't be too far off now.

Qasi asks the right question. The term "crashes" buttons up over a large number of effects.

The event log (and modem stats) will tell us what's happening - like the line going down. What do you have to do to recover?

The 615 throws a fit and the only way (that I've found so far) to resolve it is to unplug The Shub and the 615 for a few seconds whilst the PC is restarting.

Re: Does 8 Channels actually mean anything?

"Throws a fit" doesn't really describe anything we can latch on to. Do you have to reboot your PC? Modem stats and event log would help us to look at what the network might be doing.

You'd never have to unplugh the SH from the router. The normal thing when people think they've lost the line is to merely reboot the SH leaving the router connected.

From info you've provided one cannot deduce whether it's circuit, SH, router or PC.

Re: Does 8 Channels actually mean anything?

Sorry, what I meant is that I have reboot both the Shub and 615. When I said unplug I meant the power supplies not the ethernet cables.
