Maybe the media didn't report it as there was nothing to report. If officers from the diplomatic protection group get to an incident first they are always armed (and not with machine guns either )

A few hysterical rantings on twitter does not make a story. There are protests every day in multiple city's across the UK that are policed and receive no media attention.

Although what this has to do with the topic of this thread escapes me...
