Their largest investor has pulled out, as has their second largest. Tesco, W.H.Smith and Game are refusing to sell the game cards.

What's this about? Habbo Hotel, a chat site for kids, seems to have been invaded by paedophiles, who are using it to proposition kids. The only apparent action taken by the owners is to silence all chat on the site.

I can understand that it is almost impossible for any network of this size to be monitored by humans, and so they do have automated systems looking for signs of bad behaviour, but clearly those systems failed, and possibly repeatedly.

Of course, those systems should not replace a parent monitoring what their child is doing, whether on line or off line.
