Question Recorded Programs Buffering

Maybe I've got this all wrong, but I thought when you recorded a program it was copied to the had drive. If that is the case why would I get buffering thingy going round and round when I try to play back a recording. It's only Started doing it over the last few days.

Re: Recorded Programs Buffering

There is a fault. According to the service status page on the VM website, it should be fixed by tomorrow evening.

I know there is a fault on the catch up and recording programs. But this was happening to programs which had already been recorded it should have been on the hard drive.

I did checked the service page yesterday and it was saying the 29th, must be a bigger job than they thought.

It still might need to contact a server to fetch the artwork for the programme. If the server is down, this will cause a delay in playing the recording.

Take those estimates with a bucket of salt. It's rare to know how long has fault will actually take to fix.
