Filmflex/Virgin Movies may have broadcasting licence revoked.
As per the July Ofcom bulletin.
It appears that Filmflex (Now renamed Virgin Movies) failed to supply details of their turnover.
As a result, Ofcom have put them on notice for this "serious breach of the broadcasting code".
How on Earth can a company of this size risk their business by being so inept?

Maybe ofcom confused:
Virgin Movies end of year balance:- 0
As Virgin withholding, when the service probably took no money, to go with all those rubbish channels that have 0 viewers.

Re: Filmflex/Virgin Movies may have broadcasting licence revoked.
Sky Box Office is to close down after Christmas; I wonder if all the other alternatives to watching films are now impacting on PPV services like these.

We are talking VM here...you'e no doubt seen the other thread about the utter shambles of people trying to order the V6 and the myriad of different prices being touted.
If they can screw up launching the biggest revolution in television why should this be any different?

Totally agree.
They can't seem to get anything right, they're a total embarrassment.

But yet you continue to give them your custom...

No we aren't. VM are nothing to do with Filmflex, apart from being one of their customers.

If you are going to quote from wikipedia
"On 13 September 2012, the FilmFlex service was rebranded as Virgin Movies on the cable platform."

Sony and Disney have sold FilmFlex, the video-on-demand service with clients including Virgin Media, to US-based company Vubiquity, which also supples on-demand services.

Vubiquity have both Virgin Media and Sky as customers, along with TalkTalk and BT.

I was offered a retention deal to stay.
I already have a V6 and don't use PPV movies, so whilst these issues don't affect me personally, I recognise that they've got yet more things wrong.

Re: Filmflex/Virgin Movies may have broadcasting licence revoked.
Well you were on the verge of leaving them, then pestered them for a deal to get a V6.
Wasn't like they just offered you it out of the goodness of their hearts.

I didn't pester them at all. I simply laid out my requirements in order to keep the custom of various accounts.
They were free to accept my requirements or not and chose the former.
I think that you're right about them not not offering this out of the goodness of their hearts, until I escalated the matter frontline staff effectively shrugged their shoulders.
